FLORENCE, Ky. (WKRC) – Eight people were hospitalized and over 70 more were displaced after a fire at a Northern Kentucky apartment complex in the early hours of Wednesday.
Crews responded to the Champions Club Apartments on Parkland Place.
When they arrived, they saw heavy fire coming from the roof.
Multiple residents said they were forced to jump out of windows, while firefighters had to rescue multiple others via ground ladders.
The entire third floor of the complex appeared to be destroyed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Red Cross was called to assist the 70-100 people who were displaced.
