Naoric Curry is held at the Hamilton County jail on charges of domestic violence, inducing panic and discharging a firearm on or near prohibited premises.
Authorities took him into custody when he walked out of a home in the 1800 block of Compton Avenue with his hands up about 11 p.m. Thursday, according to a communication report from Hamilton County’s 911 center.
They tried to arrest him hours earlier after receiving a complaint from a neighbor about 7 p.m.
“The neighbor is being violent,” a 911 caller told a dispatcher, according to a recording of a call released early Friday. “There’s one person yelling in the driveway. We’re all in the house.”
The woman told a dispatcher she didn’t know what was going on because she had just arrived home after working 12 hours but she “wasn’t going to put up with the neighbor yelling.”
Other witnesses told authorities he had shot at his spouse during a domestic dispute on Kinney Avenue, court records show.
They said he fired his gun twice in her direction, asking her if she “wanted to get shot?” Mt. Healthy police wrote in an affidavit filed in Hamilton County Municipal Court.
Police also found two 9-mm shell casings on Kinney Avenue in the immediate area where witnesses said they saw him fire the gun, according to the sworn statement.
Curry refused to come out of the home on Comton Avenue when authorities came to arrest him, other records show.
He walked out with his hands up and peacefully surrendered about three hours later after speaking with a SWAT team negotiator, a communication report shows.
