AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WIS) – The suspect wanted for shooting and throwing a man out of a moving vehicle has been arrested.
According to officials, 19-year-old Ricky Antwon Creech has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime following this incident.
The sheriff’s department said in a Facebook post that a 911 caller reportedly saw a person thrown from a moving vehicle on Edgefield Highway near Jack Jones Street in Aiken around 10:50 p.m.
Deputies found witnesses rendering aid to a man with gunshot wounds to the upper body. Witnesses said the victim, who has been identified by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office as 36-year-old Jonathan M. Cochran, of Aiken, was pushed out of a dark-colored 4-door vehicle that did not stop.
Cochran was later pronounced dead by EMS on the scene.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office said an autopsy for Cochran will take place on Monday in Newberry.
